The Truth About Carbohydrates!

All carbohydrates are not bad! You should focus on eating complex carbohydrates instead of simple carbohydrates.

Carbohydrates are sugars and starches that give your body fuel for energy.  There are two types of carbohydrates: Simple and Complex.

Simple carbohydrates are made of a few sugar molecules. They are rapidly digested, make you feel sluggish  and leave your body craving more.  Simple carbohydrates are found in processed and refined sugars like candy, table sugar, syrups, soft drinks and cakes. These will give you a quick jolt of energy but they lack the vitamins, minerals and fiber that you need for a balanced diet.
